A Message From Our CEO
Dear Community Partners
In response to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) the African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin (Chamber) is following the recommendations of the CDC and World Health Organization. We have implemented an internal action plan and want to share an update along with a number of actions that we will be taking to help keep our community safe:
The African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin (Chamber) will continue to conduct business on behalf of our members while exercising social distancing.
- The Chamber offices are closed until Wednesday, May 27, 2020. All staff are working remotely and available to provide assistance. Please email us at info@aaccwisconsin.org.
- We will not host or convene meetings of any size that involve inviting guests into our offices and gathering space, or at alternate sites until further notice.
- The Breakfast of Champions has been rescheduled to occur on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
As a small organization, these have been incredibly difficult decisions for us to make. However, as the situation continues to develop, and we see the effects of Coronavirus – both actual and projected – we feel this is the best option to put the well-being of members, participants and our staff first
The African American Chamber of Wisconsin champions the growth and sustainability of African American owned businesses by providing access to capital, education and advocacy through capacity building and strategic partnerships. We look forward to continuing this work in a safe way over the coming weeks.
If you have any further questions, please contact us at info@aaccwi.org and we’ll do our best to get back to you in the coming days.
